The Arc sounds flatter and more neutral. The Beam to me sounded better actually for music but was perhaps a bit more colored. This is with the sub, and two play 1 surrounds using true play. Arc isn’t bad with the full setup, and probably more how the music is supposed to sound. But again, far flatter sounding.If the fan is directly above the couch, it shouldn't interfere too much with the upward firing drivers of the Arc when playing Dolby Atmos audio. And 2.2m is the perfect distance between the couch and TV to hear the height channel effects clearly.
